POSITION:  Right-of-Way Agent

Sierra Telephone is seeking to fill a Right-of-Way Agent position in the beautiful mountain community of Oakhurst, California. This position is responsible for land matters including discussions with private parties and public and government agencies to obtain necessary rights-of-way, contracts, leases, and other agreements within established policies.

Ideal candidates for the Right-of-Way Agent position will have experience using technology to research property ownership, parcel numbers, easements, and create electronic maps.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. The agent will communicate with property owners and outside agencies to acquire and record easements.

POSITION: Compliance Coordinator

Sierra Telephone is seeking to fill a Compliance Coordinator position in the beautiful mountain community of Oakhurst, California. This position is responsible to research and analyze regulatory changes and perform related tasks such as tariff preparation or modification, procedures development and maintenance, complex price quote preparation, rate development, and preparation of data request responses. The position will interface with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), telecommunications carriers, emergency service agencies, and other third parties regarding regulatory, billing, operational, and customer issues.

Ideal candidates for the Compliance Coordinator position will have experience using technology to research, analyze, and import information from other systems. The ability to solve complex analytical challenges, independently analyze information make recommendations based on analysis, and proficiently and accurately compose written communications, reports, and documentation is essential.

Customer Care Associates are responsible to provide excellent service to customers by answering inbound and making outbound calls regarding products and services to respond to public inquiries on the selection and availability of services, carrying out orders to establish or change service, collecting payments, assisting customers with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing internet-related problems, and resolving basic product or service problems.

POSITION:  Construction Technician I

Do you love to work outdoors? Can you handle physical work? Would you like to live and work in the lower Sierra Nevada Mountains just minutes away from beautiful Yosemite National Park? We are currently seeking to add three members to our Construction Department Team.

The Construction Technician I is an entry-level position where you will work under the guidance of a Construction Technician III to gain experience. You will drive a variety of different vehicles to many job locations. Pothole existing underground utilities to confirm the location of actual utility by hand-digging or using a pothole vacuum machine. Operate equipment and hand tools associated with construction work. Place pedestals, pull boxes, cables, and conduits in open trenches according to engineering drawings and Company procedures, and quality standards. Tow equipment trailer safely to and from jobsite. Regular and predictable on-site attendance is an essential function of the job.

If you want your hard work to pay off and are ready for your new career come join our team. A Universal Technician position works under the supervision and guidance of an experienced technician. This job provides the opportunity to splice, maintain, rearrange, terminate, and troubleshoot new and existing buried and aerial copper cable and fiber optic cable. Locate underground copper and fiber optic cable as well as installing and repairing telephone equipment at the customer’s premises. Locate and/or excavate buried cable for restoration. Assist other technicians with Digital Subscriber lines (DSL). Complete documentation and records of service calls and work orders in a thorough and timely manner. The ideal candidate will coordinate projects with other departments to maintain smooth operations on a daily basis and provide excellent service to our customers.

REQUIREMENTS
A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred. Previous experience in telecommunications is preferred.

Class C California Driver’s License with a minimum of three years unrestricted driving experience.
